The visa file documents
The visa file relies on the favourable opinion obtained through Études en France, supplemented by financial and administrative documents specific to the visa application.
- Favourable Campus France opinion and pre-enrolment or enrolment certificate
- Valid passport, ID photos and long-stay visa application form
- Proof of sufficient resources to cover stay and studies
- Proof of accommodation in France (accommodation certificate or booking)
- Proof of insurance and, depending on the country, a medical certificate
Submission and timelines
The application is submitted at the French consulate or an approved provider (for example TLScontact or VFS Global depending on the country), generally with an interview to check the documents. Processing times vary over the year: the earlier the application is submitted after the favourable opinion, the more you secure your start date.
Our support
We prepare a personalised checklist with you based on your country of residence, review the whole file before submission and prepare you for the interview at the consular counter to limit any risk of rejection for an incomplete file.
